The team was paged by RCMP on the evening of October 13th to investigate the whereabouts of a lone male in a cottage in Long Island Bay on Harrison Lake. His family was concerned that he had not made contact for over 2 weeks. The remote location is popular during the Summer, but is essentially deserted for the remainder of the year.
Due to darkness and poor weather, the team recommended delaying the 40-minute boat trip until the next morning. 3 SAR volunteers and an RCMP member arrived at the cottage at 0900 hrs to find the male in good condition. He had been unable to travel down the lake to make cell contact due to poor weather.
